Anne Hathaway thinks she has “weird features”

“I think I’ve got really weird features," says Anne Hathaway.

Los Angeles, February 10 -- Looking ravishing on the March cover of InStyle, gorgeous Anne Hathaway doesn’t seem to notice how beautiful she looks.

The actress goes on to point out her imperfections: “I think I’ve got really weird features. I have very large features on a very small head.”

That does sound bizarre since she is among the prettiest known Hollywood actresses and most young girls would give anything to look like her. Actor boyfriend Adam Shulman would also probably disagree with Hathaway’s “not pretty” claims.

However, the 27-year-old says despite all her deficiencies, she is comfortable with herself. “You know, I’m not going to beat myself up. It’s my face. I’m not very pretty. But that’s OK because I do know that I look like myself, and I think at the end of the day, as nice as pretty is, authenticity is more important.”

Balance it
Hathaway, star of the new film ‘Valentine's Day,’ insists that it is all about finding the right sense of balance. “If I don’t work out at all, I have too much curve and no tone—which is not OK. It’s about finding balance.”

Hathaway says it is not only about the way you eat or the way you exercise. Stressing on the need to maintain equilibrium, the star says that even while dressing up she keeps a casual, tomboyish look for the day and sexy, glamorous outfits for the nights.

“In the evening it would never occur to me to go out in motorcycle boots like this,” said the actress, pointing to the black Burberry pair she donned during her interview.

“I love going out in high heels and dressing up and glamming it up and having there be a distinction between what happened throughout the day and the evening.”

While she calls Marc Jacobs as one of her “all-time favorite designers,” the modest actress has a rather long list of her favorite people when it comes to “innovation and originality.”

“I like people who are true to themselves,” she said, expressing fondness for Tilda Swinton, Gwen Stefani, Selma Blair, Lady Gaga, and Natalie Portman.

Anne’s admiration for Angelina
Earlier this week, she had taken another hit at herself, telling the UK edition of GQ how she admired the way Angelina Jolie kissed on-screen, while she isn’t too good at it.

“You have to be Angelina Jolie to pull that off and still look good,” she’d said of a kissing scene. “I don't know if you've noticed, but I ain't no Angie.”

In this age of cut-throat competition, where actresses frequently make cutting comments on their competitors, Hathaway easily stands out with her modesty.

You can catch more of her on the March issue of InStyle, which will hit the stands this Friday.
