The actress has previously visited Iraq, Thailand, Pakistan, among a few other countries with UNHCR.
Jolie also visited an SOS Village camp for orphans where she was cheered by Haitians who shouted, “Angie! Angie!”
The actress also took a trip to Dominican Republic. A Haitian charity chief hailed Jolie as an ‘angel’ for visiting the earthquake-wrecked country.
The Haiti earthquake, which took place on Jan. 12, killed more than 200,000 people.
Jolie visits Krabacher’s charity
Jolie also visited Suzie Krabacher’s charity. Krabacher is the founding President of Haiti Children (Mercy and Sharing). She founded the charity in 1994 along with husband Joe Krabacher.
“I think Angelina is an angel for visiting the area and bringing more attention to all the work that still needs to be done in Haiti and I wish her the greatest success,” said Suzie.
Unfortunately, Krabacher lost four children and six workers during the earthquake. Krabacher’s services help both children and elderly.
Jolie to visit Jacmel
Other than that, Jolie also visited a camp which takes care of 33 Haitian children. However, it is not confirmed if the actress spoke to any children in the camp.
The American actress also visited a ‘Doctors Without Borders’ hospital in a Port-au-Prince suburb for which she and her husband Brad Pitt had earlier donated $1 million.
On Wednesday, Jolie is expected to visit the southern city of Jacmel that includes a camp for homeless people after the quake.
