Princess Tiana from the animated musical “The Princess and the Frog” will perform at the New Orleans Square in Disneyland next week.

New York, January 30 -- After a successful run in Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee, Princess Tiana from the animated musical “The Princess and the Frog” will perform at the New Orleans Square in Disneyland next week.

The show, which begins Feb. 5, is called “Princess Tiana’s Mardi Gras Celebration”.

It will feature the princess singing with a live band and performing songs from her musical movie. The show will run five to seven times daily.

Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee
The famous African-American princess will perform on songs like “Down in New Orleans,” “Almost There,” “When We’re Human,” “Ma Belle Evangeline,” “Dig a Little Deeper,” and “Gonna Take You There.”

In November 2009, the princess started a show called “Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee” at the Anaheim theme park in Disneyland. The showboat, called the “Mark Twain Riverboat,” had three dozen performers dressed in 1920s-era Mardi Gras costumes.

There was also a tourist attraction in the show where a pre-selected group of 20 theme park visitors rode with the performers on the riverboat.

The Mark Twain Riverboat
The “Mark Twain Riverboat,” named after renowned literate Mark Twain, is a famous attraction in Disneyland theme park in Anaheim.

Passengers on board the boat are taken on a picturesque 12-minute journey around the “Rivers of America.” The “Rivers of America” is an artificially river around the “Tom Sawyer Island” in Disneyland.

The “Mark Twain Riverboat,” which was originally called the “Mark Twain Steamboat,” was started in 1955, and drafts only 18 inches of water.
