Besides the marriage ceremony of the couple, the broadcast will also feature the 24-year-old bride going to dress fittings, the couple's discussions with their wedding planner and event designers, and their bachelor and bachelorette parties.
Los Angeles, January 29 -- The Bachelor stars Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney are soon to tie the knot. And their wedding next month will air on ABC March 8, 2010, according to reports.
The 33-year-old “Bachelor” star Jason Mesnick, who met Molly on the 13th season of the show and who infamously reversed his decision after the show's finale, proposed to Molly in Oct. (09) during a week-long trip to New Zealand.
Jason-Molly to tie the knot on air
The engaged couple have now decided to marry on-air. The thirteenth-season lovebirds Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney will swap their vows during a two-hour special on ABC.
The network has announced that it will air the two hour special called “The Bachelor: Jason and Molly's Wedding,” on Monday, March 8 at 8PM ET/PT. Former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants will reportedly be on the guest list.
Us Magazine reports that besides the marriage of the couple, the broadcast will also feature the 24-year-old bride going to dress fittings, the couple's discussions with their wedding planner and event designers, and their bachelor and bachelorette parties.
It will be the second reality show wedding ABC will air on primetime TV. Before this, ABC televised the nuptials of The Bachelorette’s Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter in 2003. More than 17.1 million viewers watched the Bachelorette couple walk down the aisle on TV.
Molly was Jason's second pick
Jason’s infamous “Change of heart” made him a centre of attraction during The Bachelor's thirteenth-season, where he first sent Molly home on the finale of the 2009 season, choosing Melissa Rycroft instead.
Jason, then, reversed his decision only to choose Molly instead of the original choice Raycroft, during a January (09) taping of the season's After the Final Rose special.
After infamously getting dumped by Jason on national TV, the former “Dancing With the Stars” and Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Rycroft reunited with former boyfriend, insurance agent Tye Strickland. The couple got engaged in June and wed in December.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Jason is the runner-up on Season 4 of The Bachelorette and the Bachelor of the 13th season of the reality dating show The Bachelor. He moved to Washington at the age of eight, and has a BA in psychology at the University of Washington.
Jason is a divorced father who has raised his four-year-old son, Ty, since 2006.
