The suspicion led to the officer determining that the actor was under the influence of alcohol and booking him for investigation of DUI charge.
Los Angeles, January 28 -- "Heroes" star Adrian Pasdar has been arrested on suspicion of driving drunk and veering across lanes on a West Los Angeles freeway.
Pasdar was arrested for DUI early Wednesday morning after police spotted him driving irresponsibly, according to reports.
The California highway police (CHP) report says that Pasdar was pulled over shortly before 3 a.m. Wednesday when officers noticed his Ford F-150 truck speeding at 94mph on the 405 Freeway in Los Angeles.
Pasdar failed to maintain his lane
The 44-year-old actor, who plays lawyer-turned-senator Nathan Petrelli on the NBC drama "Heroes," was seen swerving between lanes, the report says.
Pasdar first refused to take a breathalyzer test, but the police gave him a field sobriety test after they detected the smell of alcohol coming from his vehicle as they approached, according to the report.
“Upon contacting Pasdar, the officers noticed an odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from within the vehicle,” the CHP said.
The suspicion led to the officer determining that the actor was under the influence of alcohol and booking him for investigation of DUI.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Pasdar was taken to County jail and was released at around 9 in the morning when he posted a bail of $15,000.
