Jolie-Pitt: no split?

Pitt and Jolie, parents to six kids, have kept mum regarding their relationship status while the rest of the world speculates about what went wrong.

Los Angeles, January 25 -- Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are still together. According to various sources close to the couple, the rumors about their split were bogus.

The Internet had been buzzing with reports from all corners, claiming that the two Hollywood hotties are back on the market. However, even before the world could digest that hearsay, various sources have trashed the news of their break-up, saying that the two are “just fine.”

What’s “just fine”
Now the “just fine” status of a relationship, especially for a high-profile liaison like this, could be rather vague. But Pitt and Jolie have no need to clarify and they are probably too busy to get involved in all this tittle-tattle about them.

The break-up rumors were underscored with the fact that the power couple did not turn up for any of the three major award shows recently. Despite winning nominations at the award functions, Pitt and Jolie remained absent from the red carpet at The Critics' Choice Awards , Golden Globes, and Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Too busy to be together?
Earlier this month, they had been seen together, but stars tend to get busy or just, for some reason, remain under covers when they want to. Reportedly, a friend of the couple, who claims they’re still together explained that Pitt and Jolie have been “just busy lately”.

Now, we can buy that.

Both of them have films in pre-production stage, Jolie had reportedly been doing re-shoots for ‘Salt’ and was recently in Los Angeles for a Vanity Fair photo shoot. Meanwhile, Pitt, amidst other things, attended the Hope for Haiti Now telethon event in New York on Friday.

Pitt, 46, and Jolie, 34 started officially dating soon after his split from ex-wife Jennifer Aniston in November 2005. The recent rumors of the Jolie-Pitt split also dragged in the former ‘Friends’ star. Some sources claimed that Brad had been considering making up with his ex-wife after learning of an alleged affair of Angelina with a dialect coach from her ‘Salt’ film.

Another hoax
However, media-made break-up and patch-up is nothing new for the celebs and they are probably used to it. No wonder, Pitt and Jolie, parents to six kids, have kept mum regarding their relationship status while the rest of the world speculates about what went wrong.

There have been no official statements from Pitt and Jolie; probably they’re secretly enjoying this hoopla in some corner of their home.

Brad Pitt is expected at the Director's Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday, and Angelina’s presence or absence will make it all clear.
