Comedian Andy Dick gets thrown in jail for sexual abuse

This is not Dick's first brush with the law, he instead was arrested for sexual battery back in 2008 when he allegedly pulled down a teenager's top outside of a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Murrieta CA

Los Angeles, January 22:Huntington Police on Saturday morning arrested actor and entertainer Andy Dick in West Virginia on sexual abuse charges. The trouble-prone funnyman, who is on probation from a previous arrest in 2008, was reportedly arrested after things at a city bar allegedly went too far.

Although, details of the crime Dick is alleged to have committed are not yet known, but he reportedly was scheduled to be arraigned sometime Saturday.

Dick’s another sexual abuse arrest
According to People.com, the 44-year-old comedian was arrested on two felony charges of alleged sexual abuse in the first degree.

Dick, who was in town for weekend performances at the Funny Bone Comedy Club and Restaurant in Huntington, is currently being held in Western Regional Jail, police confirmed to People.

WSAZ.com, the media outlet that claims to be the only media outlet to get video of Dick after his arrest reports that when it asked Dick why he was going to jail, the comic replied it was for "people grabbing on me."

No bond has been set for the troubled comic and actor, who has always been known for his outrageous behavior and bizarre personality.

Dick’s other offenses

Dick was arrested on July 16, 2008 in Murrieta, California on suspicion of drug possession and sexual battery after he allegedly grabbed and pulled down a 17 year old girl's tank-top and brassiere down, thereby exposing her breasts. During a subsequent search of his person, police reportedly found a small quantity of marijuana and one Xanax tablet (for which Dick did not have a prescription) in his front pants pocket.

In Aug. 2007, Dick, who was recently seen on the reality show Sober House attempting to recover from a drug addiction, was cited by Columbus, Ohio police for urinating on a sidewalk and a building.

That same year in February, he was forcibly removed during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, after repeatedly touching guest Ivanka Trump.

In 2005, the comedian stirred controversy in Edmonton, Alberta, at Yuk Yuk's comedy club when he dropped his pants and exposed his genitals to the audience.

Dick’s career
Dick started his television comedy career as a cast member along with Ben Stiller, Bob Odenkirk and Janeane Garofalo, on the sketch comedy program The Ben Stiller Show, which aired on the Fox Network from September 1992 to January 1993.

He subsequently appeared in Stiller movies such as "Reality Bites," "The Cable Guy" and "Permanent Midnight." In 1995, he appeared on the ensemble comedy "NewsRadio" that co-starred Phil Hartman, Dave Foley and Maura Tierney. In 2002, Dick co-starred in the sitcom "Less Than Perfect."

The funnyman’s distinctive voice has led to work in animated movies such as "Happily N'Ever After," "Hoodwinked" and "The Lion King II" and adult fare such as "Clone High," "Stripperella" and the video game "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas."
