Los Angeles, January 14 -- Rumors ran rampant recently that newly engaged U.S. pop star Katy Perry is pregnant! But, the “I Kissed A Girl” singer has rubbished rumors she is expecting.
Rumors about Katy’s pregnancy began fueling on Wednesday after the 25-year-old singer and her soon to be hubby, British comedian Russell Brand, were spotted walking out of a doctor’s office with her first sonogram.
But, a rep for the star has refuted speculation that the newly engaged couple have a baby on the way, according to Us Weekly.
False baby-bump reports
Citing the “Hot N Cold” singer’s rep, UsMagazine.com also reports that Katy’s pregnancy tales are simply "not true."
The tabloids started watching Katy baby-bump when the singer began posting "baby-themed" messages on her Twitter page. "Let me tell you 2010 is bumpin," she wrote on Jan. 1, Us reports. In another tweet, she wrote to Russell: "i heard ur prego-ed."
According to Us Weekly, Katy and Russell were spotted shopping at a baby boutique in North London on Sunday. They were checking out baby booties at the luxury baby boutique.
On Wednesday (Jan. 13), Katy was spotted leaving a Century City doctor’s office, where she reportedly had her first sonogram.

“ur gonna make me cry, maybe that’s my period tho. THAT’S RIGHT I’M BLEEDING. Face. Better luck next month peepz. (sic),” she told one of her followers on the social networking site.
Couple engaged after whirlwind romance
Katy and Russell, who met a scant four months ago, got engaged while they were vacationing in India in late December. Russell reportedly proposed to the singer while the two raven-haired stars were vacationing in India in late December.
The two have been dating each other only for the past four months. They had first met at the MTV VMAs in September (09) and hit it off right from there.
The pair is already planning on getting married this year in summer.
Russell’s engagement to songtress Katy was being speculated since last month after the he was spotted looking for that perfect ring in Cartier's West London store.
Russell then took his sweetheart to India, where he got down on one knee and proposed to the gorgeous singer with a large, square-cut diamond set in a platinum band.
