Beyonce and Jay-Z top-earning couple in Hollywood

<strong>New York, January 14 --</strong> American Publishing house Forbes has compiled its annual list for Hollywood’s top-earning couples. Rapper Jay-Z and his better half Beyonce topped the list, raking in a whopping $122 million. According to Forbes, Jay-Z and Beyonce earned the maximum between June 2008 and June 2009. Beyonce earned $87 million, while Jay-Z earned $35 million. The couple got married in April 2008.

New York, January 14 -- American Publishing house Forbes has compiled its annual list for Hollywood’s top-earning couples. Rapper Jay-Z and his better half Beyonce topped the list, raking in a whopping $122 million.

Forbes, while computing its list, takes into account record sales, movie salaries, touring, merchandising and endorsement deals. Talking to agents, managers, producers, and lawyers is another agenda for computing the list.

The top earning couple
According to Forbes, Jay-Z and Beyonce earned the maximum between June 2008 and June 2009. Beyonce earned $87 million, while Jay-Z earned $35 million.

This is not the first time the pair made it to the list; last year also the couple topped the list with $162 million.

The top earning celebrity couple, who make their wealth from respective music empires, clothing lines and various ad deals, got married in April 2008.

Jay-Z and Beyonce, who generally avoid discussing their relationship, keep a low public profile. Beyonce once stated to the People magazine, “We don't play with our relationship.”

The pair was listed as the most powerful couple for Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2006.

The top 15
Coming second in line after the singing couple are Harrison Ford and “Brothers and Sisters” gal pal Calista Flockhart. The couple earns a combined $69 million.

Hollywood’s hottest couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie stands at third spot with $65 million wealth, while actor Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith stand at No. 4.

Soccer star David Beckham stands at No. 5 spot with ex-Spice Girl, Victoria Bekham.

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi got No. 6 spot for earning $36 million. However, their number is expected to rise due to Ellen’s judging talent on “American Idol.”

Next in line are Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, who raked in $35.5 million. Stand-up comedian Jim Carrey and wife Jenny McCarthy earned $34 million, while Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes amassed a total of $33.5 million.

Coldplay’s Chris Martin made $33 million, with his Oscar-winning wife Gwyneth Paltrow.

Other notable celebrities to make it to the list were Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Eva Longoria Parker and Tony Parker, Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley, and Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban.
