Jeter and Minka spark wedding rumors, Again?

In August (09), the New York Post had reported that the American baseball star Derek and actress Kelly are secretly engaged and are planning to get married this fall.

Another round of Kelly-Jeter’s wedding rumors
Now, the grapevine has it that Jeter, 35, and Kelly, 29, are set to wed this year, most likely after the end of the 2010 World Series.

The New York Post reports that the NY’s most eligible bachelor and his sweetheart have settled on Nov. 5 wedding date, and that the wedding will take place at Huntington's glamorous Oheka Castle.

The Post confirmed the upcoming nuptials and the wedding date by spotting “Jeter Wedding,” an entry in the official 2010 calendar at the reception palace Oheka Castle in Huntington, which is the same location of Kevin Jonas’ recent wedding.

According to published information in the New York Post, a reporter disguised as a bride-to-be was sent to the palace to look at prospective dates. The undercover bride spotted that the first weekend of November was blocked off with the words "JETER" in bold print on the calendar.

Kelly, who starred in the critically acclaimed television show "Friday Night Lights," and Jeter have been dating for more than a year, but the two have repeatedly denied they are an item. The actress even denied they were dating when the two were spotted at the Empire Hotel months ago.

Kelly’s career and affairs
Born Minka Dumont Kelly on June 24, 1980 in Los Angeles, California, Minka is the only daughter of former Aerosmith guitarist Rick Dufay and the late Maureen Kelly, a former Vegas showgirl.

She started her acting career with small roles in projects like the movie “State's Evidence” and with a recurring guest role on the show “What I Like About You”. She stars in the NBC series Friday Night Lights as Lyla Garrity.

Prior to her relationship with Derek, Kelly dated Donald Faison in 2005, and had a relationship with actor Chris Evans as well. She dated musician John Mayer from September 2007 to January 2008.

Jeter’s myriad flings
Born on June 26, 1974 in Pequannok, NJ, Derek is the son of Dr. Sanderson Charles Jeter, a substance abuse counselor, and Dorothy Jeter. He is a Major League Baseball shortstop, team captain of the New York Yankees, and the all-time hits leader among shortstops.

Jeter played 15 games with the New York Yankees in 1995, since then he served as a driving force for a Yankees dynasty, which resulted in four World Series championships between 1996 and 2000.

Before staring a relationship with Kelly, Jeter had a well publicized relationship with pop diva Mariah Carey from 1997 to 1998, as well as former Miss Universe Lara Dutta, singer Joy Enriquez and actress Jordana Brewster. The baseball star is rumored to have dated actresses Scarlett Johansson, Gabrielle Union, and Jessica Alba.
