Los Angeles, January 5 -- Looks like Rihanna has finally moved on after her painful split from Chris Brown. Almost a year after ending her tumultuous relationship with Brown following their February altercation, the R&B songstress seems to have bagged a new beau.
Grapevine has it that Los Angeles Dodger Matt Kemp is the new man in pop singer Rihanna’s life.
Multiple gossip sites are claiming that Matt and Rihanna are dating seriously.
The Barbados-born singer, who dated Chris Brown for a year until the assault incident in February, is reportedly getting serious with the 25-year-old center fielder.
Rihanna, Matt and rumors
The pair’s dating rumors first started when the baseball star joined the pop diva at a New Year's Eve gig in Dubai. Subsequently, the two were spotted kissing and hugging during a vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
“Rihanna and Matt are starting to get serious – he even followed her to Dubai for New Year's," a source told HollywoodLife.com. "Rihanna likes him because he’s such a gentleman … and super sexy!”

The report claims that Rihanna was paid $500,000 for a private performance at the Emirates Palace in Dhabi on New Years Eve.
The Sun published steamy pictures of the lovebirds sharing a passionate kiss and hug in a pool in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Matt was first spotted in the Barbadian songstress’ "Hard" music video. At that time too rumors popped up claiming that they were dating. But, the sportsman came up with denial insisting they were just friends.
Matt’s perfect mate?
Matt, though still shy to admit his romance with Rihanna, candidly told Yahoo Sports last summer what he is looking for in a woman.
“Independent, pretty and got to have good teeth too…. That’s the most part, independent….. somebody who can go off and do their own thing and not have to worry about me all the time.”
The 20-year-old “Umbrella” singer has been linked to Justin Timberlake, 90210 actor Tristan Wilds, and rapper Drake since her much-publicized break-up with Chris Brown, who stands accused of assaulting Rihanna, on the eve of their scheduled appearance at the Grammy Awards.
In a related news, it has been reported that the singer is scheduled to release a tell-all book titled "Rihanna: The Last Girl on Earth" on June 29. Besides featuring steamy pictures of Rihanna, the upcoming book reportedly will offer detailed info related to her ill-fated romance with Brown.
