Frank DiLeo, Michael Jackson’s ex-manager, told the Rolling Stones that the King of Pop left behind a number of unreleased songs, some of which are from the hit album “Bad”
New York, January 5 -- King of Pop’s unheard song “Another Day”, which was leaked over the weekend on YouTube, has now been pulled off by the Jacksons and Sony Music Entertainment.
“Another Day”, which was recorded by Michael Jackson and Lenny Kravitz several years ago, is just a 90 seconds song.
Kravitz, who produced and wrote the song, does not know who leaked the tune.
He explained, “I just want to reach out to you so I can set the record straight regarding the Michael Jackson track ‘Another Day.’. As you know and have heard, part of the song leaked — not by me, because mine has been locked up in a vault since we recorded it. The version that’s out is a minute and 30 seconds, roughly, of the track — not mixed, but it is the track.”
Jackson’s estate lawyers will find out about leak
According to celebrity gossip website TMZ, Jackson’s estate lawyers will find out who was behind the alleged leak.
Kravitz said he hoped he could get things straightened out soon, so that Jackson’s fans could enjoy the track in its entirety.
“That's all being worked out as I sit here in the bush. I'll get back to you as soon as I have more information,” said Kravitz.
According to TMZ, “Another Day” features Jackson singing a verse which resembles Kravitz’s song “Storm”.
“I don’t know what their purpose is, but that person has nothing to do with the track. It was one of the most amazing musical experiences that I’ve ever had,” said he.
“It was done by two people who had respect for each other and who love music — that was it,” Kravitz, the former Romeo Blue, further said.
King of Pop left many unreleased songs
Another Day is not the first piece of unreleased music from Jackson's vault. On July 24, 2009, Jackson’s song titled “A Place with No Name”, was also leaked online.
The song, which was a take from the rock band America’s “A Horse with No Name”, became very popular with the fans.
America released the song in 1972. The band’s current manager, Jim Morey, who was also Michael’s manager once, said, “The band was honored that Michael chose to do their song and they hope it becomes available for all Michael’s fans to hear.”
Frank DiLeo, Michael Jackson’s ex-manager, told the Rolling Stones that the King of Pop left behind a number of unreleased songs, some of which are from the hit album “Bad”.
"There are a couple of songs we recorded for the Bad album that we had to cut that are just sensational," DiLeo told TMZ.
