Hailey Glassman's attorney terms Gosselin burglary 'a publicity stunt'

The 32-year-old reality star found his Manhattan apartment burglarized and ransacked when he returned on Saturday afternoon after spending Christmas with his eight children in Pennsylvania, UsMagazine reported Sunday.

And, it was speculated that Jon’s former sweetheart Glassman was involved in the burglary.

Cops questioned Glassman
On Saturday evening, the New York Police Department questioned Glassman in connection with the burglary at the Manhattan apartment owned by Gosselin, her former boyfriend, Radaronline.com reports.

Radar says that the investigators spoke with Glassman, who was accompanied by her attorney Stephanie Ovadia and associate Anand Ahuja, who specializes in domestic violence cases.

But, the attorney believes Hailey Glassman did not ransack the apartment and branded the break-in/burglary of Gosselin's NYC apartment a "huge publicity stunt" in a statement Sunday.

"It appears someone is trying to frame her," says Ahuja, according to New York Post. "I don’t know who that is. The last time she was in the apartment was Thursday Dec. 24."

Upon returning home after Christmas party, Gosselin had reportedly discovered a note that was "speared" into his wooden dresser with a butcher's knife.

The note referred to the reality dad a "cheater" and had Glassman's name written at the bottom, according to TMZ.com.

Burglary is a publicity stunt?
"To me it appears to be a huge, huge publicity stunt," says Ahuja. "There was nothing taken she wasn’t entitled to. He himself asked her to take whatever you want to take."

"The police investigation is still ongoing and we are sure the investigation will reveal that someone is trying to frame Hailey," he adds.

"There are no charges against Hailey," said Glassman's lawyer, according to perezhilton.com. "I don't think they are even considering her as a suspect in a crime."

Hailey Glassman is the daughter of Jon Gosselin’s estranged wife Kate’s doctor Lawrence Glassman, who performed some post-sextuplet plastic surgery on her.

Hailey openly showed off her love for Gosselin in August, less than three weeks after the estranged couple’s separation was announced. She called Jon her "first love" at the time.

Last month, multiple tabloid reports emerged claiming that the lovebirds have parted their ways. If the reports are to be believed, the octodad decided to end his relationship with Glassman after his spiritual advisor Boteach advised him to do that.
