Los Angeles, December 27 -- Brooke Mueller has obtained a restraining order against her husband, sitcom star Charlie Sheen, a day after a heated fight at a dinner party in Aspen, Colo. The fight ended with the actor being arrested and put in jail for hours on domestic violence charges Friday morning.

Sheen, the star of CBS comedy “Two and a Half Men” was arrested by officers on domestic violence allegations on Christmas day.

The 45-year-old actor was taken into custody Friday at 11:20 a.m. by officers responding to an emergency call from a house in the ski resort of Aspen, Colorado. Sheen was released at 7 p.m. that same day after posting an $8,500 bond.

Sheen ordered to cease all contacts with wife
RadarOnline reports that Sheen’s third wife Brooke Mueller has now granted the restraining order against the actor.

Granted by the same judge who heard actor's case and allowed his release from jail Friday night, Mueller’s order of protection prohibits Sheen from making any contacts with his wife until the case is resolved.

Judge James Boyd said Sheen can contact Mueller through his attorney.

The order is mandatory in domestic violence cases in Colorado.

Sheen flew back to his home in Los Angeles late Friday night while Mueller remained in Aspen, where the altercation occurred.

Couple won’t divorce
Meanwhile, Sheen's manager Mark Burg told RadarOnline that the pair does not intend to split.

"I have spoken to all parties concerned. There are no plans for divorce," Burg told Radar. "They are both deeply upset about what happened and are trying to work things out amicably. They both want to get away from all the sensationalism surrounding what happened and quietly resolve things."

Sheen and Wife To Undergo Counseling
In related news, it has been reported that Sheen and his 32-year-old wife are planning to undergo counseling after the Christmas incident.

"They were fighting at a dinner in a friend’s house and it continued until the next morning," a source close to Mueller tells People magazine. "Both of them were drinking and neither was supposed to be. They both have histories of alcohol abuse and have made every effort to stop. But things got out of hand."

"Charlie went right back to Los Angeles after he was released from jail," the source tells the celebrity magazine. "Both he and Brooke will undergo counseling and Charlie will get anger management counseling."

Sheen , Mueller still together
In response to couple’s break-up reports, the source says, "Brooke and Charlie have never been separated," adding that “the boys are fine – so precious. They knew nothing about a fight between their parents."

Together the couple have twin boys, Bob and Max, 9 months.

People magazine quoted Sheen's Colorado-based attorney Richard Cummins as saying, "They have two children together and they love one another and they’re going to work through what is a difficult time and they’re going to do that together and as privately as possible."
