American singer, Chris Brown, cancelled his Twitter account Monday afternoon, expressing anger over retailers who failed to stock his new album "Graffiti"

New York, December 15 -- American artist, Chris Brown, shut his Twitter account Monday, a day after he accused department store Walmart of failing to stock his new album.

Brown went to visit a Wal-Mart store in Connecticut during the weekend and didn't find his album on shelves, following which he deleted his Twitter account.

“I WANNA THANK MY FANS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT,” Brown posted on his account before it was deleted. “I LOVE YALL. GOODBYE!!!!!!!!!!!!,” wrote the singer.

Brown expresses anger
Brown also expressed anger on Twitter for those retailers who were blackmailing his new album, ‘Graffiti’.

“Major stores are blackballing my CD. Not stockin the shelves and lying to customers. What the f--- do I gotta do...,” said Brown.

He also told people on Twitter called as 'Tweeple', that when he had gone into the store, his record wasn't even available for purchase!

“Just was at Walmart in Wallingford CT, 844 north colony. The[y] didn't even have my album in the back ... not on shelves, saw for myself,” he said.

Brown said he talked to the store's manager who was clueless, but pointed out that Alicia Keys new album will be available from Tuesday.

Walmart surprised by comments

A sales associate at Walmart told MTV News that the store had actually sold out all the copies of the album.

“We are surprised at the comments online,” said Walmart in a statement.

“All Walmart stores nationwide have carried the CD since its release, including the Wallingford, [Conn.], store mentioned in the post. This store actually sold through its initial shipment over the weekend. The majority of our stores today are showing they do have copies available,” said the retail giant.

A survey by Billboard found that there was plenty of stock of Brown’s album at Best Buy and Broadway, as well as at the J&R Music World.

Mechanical Dummy
After Brown’s decision to cancel his account, the MechanicalDummy page, an alias of Brown, said, “Sorry, that page doesn't exist”.

Brown was one of the most noted and prolific twitterers, starting and ending his day with a message for his fans.

Miley Cyrus, of Hannah Montana fame, also cancelled her Twitter account recently due to privacy issues.
