FDCF visits Woods’ house, Elin plans divorce

New York, December 14 -- A new twist unraveled in the Tiger Woods scandal Saturday when the Florida Department of Children and Families paid a visit to his house.
Accompanied by the Orange County Sheriff deputy, the agency dropped by Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren’s place.
“I'm just not able by law to give confirmation about whether we visited the family and that is in the interest of protecting the child,” said FDCF spokeswoman Carrie Hoeppner.
Visit to confirm safety of Woods’ children
A source from the Orange County Sheriffs’ Office said the department wanted to explore and investigate the house for the safety of Woods’ children.
They also said they wanted to make sure that the children are taken care in the right environment.
“Our deputies met with members of the Department of Children and Families,” confirmed Orange County’s Capt. Angelo Nieves later. "But all details are being kept secret.”
“Florida law requires that all concerns reported to the Florida Department of Children and Families regarding the safety of a child or a vulnerable adult are confidential,” said Hoeppner.
TMZ.com reported that the visit was just a “well-being check”.
An unnamed source told online publication Radar online, that officials visited Woods’ house with both marked and unmarked cars and stayed there for an hour.
Physical violence between Woods and Elin?
There are rumors surfacing of a suspected physical violence between Woods and Elin. It is also said that the DCDF’s visit was mainly due to this domestic violence.
Elin plans to split soon
Woods and Elin, who have been married for five years, have a 2-year-old daughter Sam and a 10-month-old son Charlie.
When Woods’ car crashed on Nov. 27, it led to many controversies regarding Woods’ past infidelities and link ups.
On Friday, Woods accepted them and announced taking an indefinite leave from golf, in order to become a “better husband, father and person.”
However, it is reported that their marriage is already on crossroads as Elin has spoken to divorce lawyers and plans to split soon.
Sources say that Elin was not even wearing her wedding ring while dropping her children to a Christmas party. Others believe that she has moved with her children to their guest house in Florida.
“She's putting on a brave face but she's hurting terribly,” said a source close to Elin.
