Chris Brown's 'Changed Man' made Rihanna cry

Brown’s Graffiti album contains one more track named “Famous Girl” which clearly seems inspired by his relationship with the Barbados-born singer

Los Angeles, December 5 -- Chris Brown once again apologized publicly for his brutal assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna in February of this year. The R&B singer appeared on ABC News 20/20 to tell the world he never ever had problems with anger.

In an interview for ABC News 20/20, the R&B singer opened up once more about his highly-publicized assault of Rihanna and also revealed how his apologetic track “Changed Man” made her cry.

Brown is a ‘Changed Man’
During the in-depth interview, which was taped last weekend, the singer told Robin Roberts, anchor of ABC's ‘Good Morning America,’ that he is a changed man now. The 20-year-old singer also discussed the night of his widely publicized assault and his life after that incident.

"I never, ever had problems with anger," UsMagazine.com quoted Brown as telling Roberts during the interview that aired on Friday for ABC News 20/20. "No domestic violence with any of my past girlfriends or any altercations."

The 20 year-old singer says, "I was never that kind of person...It's like, 'How could I be that person?'"

Apology was genuine
According to the magazine, when Roberts asked Brown about the insincerity that he showed while issuing apology on his website, the singer explained that heavy coaching had led him to feel uncomfortable.

“I had three or four days of PR and they told me, ‘Don’t say this and don’t say it this way,’ so my head wasn’t giving me a chance to be me,” Brown said. "It was genuinely from me, but it wasn't projected genuinely."

Brown, whose new album Graffiti will be out on Dec. 8, reiterates in his interview with Roberts that "I was wrong for what I did...I would definitely say that it's not something that I look past or look over. Something that's really, really touchy. I'm really sorry for -- for what went down."

’Changed Man’- a plea to Rihanna for forgiveness
Brown also revealed it to Roberts that his apologetic track ‘Changed Man’ made Rihanna cry after he played it for her during their brief reunion after the Feb. 8 altercation in Los Angeles.

While the “Rated R” singer Rihanna claimed she had not heard the song, Brown says that’s not true, insisting that he wrote the song ‘Changed Man’ for his girlfriend, who after hearing the track broke into tears.

“I played the song for her ... a month after the situation,” he told Roberts. “She called when she first heard the song. And I mean, I’m not trying to call her any liar or anything like that. But I played the song for her when I first wrote it. And she cried.”

Brown’s Graffiti album contains one more track named ‘Famous Girl’, which clearly seems inspired by his relationship with the Barbados-born singer.

Brown and Rihanna don’t communicate
Brown has been sentenced to five years of probation, 180 days of community labor, and a 52-week domestic violence counseling program for the attack on his now former girlfriend Rihanna earlier this year.

He has also been ordered to cease all communication with Rihanna and is required to stay 100 yards away from the pop diva unless they are attending music industry events.

Brown told Roberts during the interview that they don't communicate.

"I've said, like, everything that I can with me and her," Us quoted him as saying. "Me and her have talked. Me and her have spoken about the situation," he said. "And she knows how sorry I am."
