Beauty queen Solange Magnano dies after butt-implant surgery

Buenos Aires, Argentina, December 1:Former Miss Argentina Solange Magnano has died after cosmetic surgery on her buttocks. The onetime beauty queen died Sunday after elective surgery on her butt went terribly wrong, according to several tabloid reports.
Solange was the stunning beauty queen from Buenos Aires who won her Miss Argentina crown back in 1994. She was running her own modeling agency.
The 38-year-old former model’s shocking death came three days after having a gluteoplasty, a procedure that involves placing implants to enhance firmness.

Solange, who captured the crown of Miss Argentina fifteen years ago, died over the weekend due to complications stemming from her butt-implant surgery.
The mother of 7-year-old twins died of pulmonary embolism or blocked artery in the lung on Sunday, three days after having the gluteoplasty. She was in critical condition since undergoing the gluteoplasty procedure, which took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, last Wednesday.
Citing Dr. Gonzalo Cortesy Tristan, Radar Online reports that Solange arrived at his hospital with an acute respiratory deficiency.
Roberto Piazza, a close friend of the ex model, told The Associated Press: “This woman who had everything is dead because she wanted to have a slightly firmer [body].”
“She was perfect, she didn’t need any surgery,” said Piazza. “She took care of herself a lot, went to the gym, had everything in its place, perfect measurements, a divine little waist. Last year she had surgery on her breasts and they came out perfect, but she did not need this butt surgery. It was stupid what she did, I don’t understand it.”
“She only underwent the procedure because she thought it was no big deal” added another friend, Guillermo Azar.
What caused her death
Officials say Solange died after liquid injected into her buttocks went to her lungs and brain.
According to the popular gossip Website TMZ.com, the cause of death is still under investigation.
Meanwhile, the former model’s friends are both saddened and dismayed by her untimely death. And more than 800 fans took to the social networking site Facebook to pay tribute to the onetime beauty queen.
"This is a horrible day. We will miss you, Sol," one person wrote.
"You couldn't be any more beautiful than you already were," another fan added. "You had to pay with your life."
Magnano’s funeral, in her home city of San Francisco, was attended by over 300 mourners and aired Monday on Argentine television.
