State diner gatecrashers did meet Obama

The annual film festival in Goa filled the fascination among the fans of King Khan when the premiere disclosed about the two minutes of anaglyph performed by Mr. Shah in Mr. Deshpande’s upcoming film “Shahrukh Bola Khoobsurat Hai Tu”.

Theme line of the film is about a Mumbaiya flower-selling girl who was spelled bound by the sudden spoken words of Shahrukh regarding her beauty. Mr. Deshpande told about the story, "This girl is in a very bad mood, when Shah Rukh, suddenly, as a matter of chance, passes by the street in a car and says 'tu khoobsurat hai!' [you are beautiful!]. It changes the life of this flower-selling girl.”

“To change ugliness to beauty, that is the power of a star. I have seen Shah Rukh becoming that kind of a star over the years," director Makrand Deshpande told reporters at the 40th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in the tourist haven of Goa.

The supreme success of The King Khan in last two decades is the only reason that inspired the directors and made the story line worth to be shown in the cinemas. "If he hadn't worked so hard to become that, this film wouldn't have been made," Deshpande said.

Though, Mr. Shah was absent at the premiere and Deshpande did miss him, “I wish Shah Rukh was here. I had invited Shah Rukh for the premiere of my film, but he told me that he would attend the opening night instead," Deshpande told reporters.

The Director, Deshpande and the Producer, Amarjit Singh, hope to release this movie in initial months of next year. "Yes, my film will definitely benefit from the fact that it has Shah Rukh Khan's name in it, at least till the marketing and publicity stage. After that it will work on its own merit," said Deshpande.

The Salahis were seen shaking hands with President Obama. Indian Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, was seen smiling in the background.

It was only when Michaele Salahi posted pictures with Vice President Joe Biden and other guests of the State dinner on her Facebook page, that it become apparent that the duo was there for the dinner.

Secret Service deeply embarrassed
The law enforcement agency, Secret Service, felt deeply embarrassed by the events of Nov. 24 and offered apology.

“The preliminary findings of our internal investigation have determined established protocols were not followed at an initial checkpoint,” said Director Mark Sullivan in a statement.

Sullivan said that the couple had been screened for weapons, but suggested that they should not have gained an entry inside.

The Office of Professional Responsibility is still looking for their names in the security force's computer.

Ari Fleischer, who served as former President George W. Bush’s press secretary, said at a state dinner, “Nobody, should get in if they’re not on a list. Unless somebody on the political side, or the Office of the Social Secretary overruled the Secret Service, then it certainly did fall to the Secret Service.”

Salahis not officially chosen for Housewives
Michaele and Tareq Salahi, who are known for their taste in polo and wine, gained entry in a vehicle that carried them till the east gate.

The couple eventually got out, trailed by a person with a video camera. However, there is no evidence till now that the camera operator entered the White House or not.

The Salahis were also definitely cleared through security, which is a routine for anyone seeking an entry into the White House grounds.

The couple’s lawyer, Paul W. Gardner, declared that the Salahis had been “cleared, by the White House” to be at the event, and so were not really “crashing”.

“We will make them available to the media starting next week,” he said.

According to bankruptcy and legal findings in Virginia, the Salahis have a winery which is loaded with thousands of unpaid bills.

It has also been confirmed that they have not even been officially chosen for the “Housewives” show till now.
