The U.S. television star and her actor-artist hubby Brady Smith are expecting their first child together next May, her rep confirmed exclusively to People.com.
The 35-year-old actress, who originally hails from Long Beach, Calif., married 37-year-old Smith, a Houston native, in July 2005 at a private estate in Montecito, California.
Couple confirm baby news
After more than four years of marriage, Thiessen and Smith have announced they are soon to become parents, People reports.
"We are over the moon!" the couple said in a statement. "It's something we've wanted for a long time and we are thrilled that it's actually happening."

A one-time model Thiessen, who currently stars on U.S. drama "White Collar", also took to her Twitter page to inform her fans about the baby news, E! Online reports.
In a Twitter post Thiessen wrote: "It is true! I'm going to be a Mom! Brady and I are over the moon with excitement! Thanks for all your congrats!"
Having baby was Thiessen’s long-time desire
Thiessen had previously told People about her desire to have a baby one day. "I've never done it …it's going to be a whole new thing," she told People in May when talking about her desire of becoming a mom.
However, in August, the "Saved by the Bell" alum admitted her new television series had forced them to put their baby plans on hold.
"We've talked about it, but the show started, so we're going to wait and try to figure out when the best time is," the actress told OK! Magazine at the time. "I don't want to spring a pregnancy on a brand new show that I just got on."

Born Tiffani-Amber Thiessen on Jan. 23, 1974 in Long Beach, Calif., to Frank Thiessen, a park designer, and Robyn Thiessen, a homemaker, Thiessen is a TV personality best known for her roles on "Saved by the Bell," "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "White Collar".
Thiessen began professionally posing at age seven, appearing in print and TV ads, as well as catalogues. She won the Miss Junior America pageant in 1987.
The actress shot to fame after making big-screen debut as the popular cheerleader Kelly Kapowski on the NBC series "Saved by the Bell" in 1989. In 1992, she starred in her first movie "A Killer Among Friends".
Before marrying Smith, Thiessen was engaged to actor Richard Ruccolo. The two ended their year-and-a-half relationship in spring of 2003.
