Los Angeles, November 7 -- Chris Brown is apparently not happy with Rihanna’s recent interview with ABC's Diane Sawyer, in which she spoke candidly about their February altercation. The ‘Forever’ singer thinks the matter is private and should not be discussed publicly.

Nearly a year after the feud with ex beau, Chris Brown, pop singer Rihanna sat down early this week with Sawyer for an interview, in which she opened up about the violent incident that occurred on the night of the Grammy Awards.

Rihanna tells all about Chris and her beating
In her tell-all interview Friday, the 21-year-old singer told Sawyer how horrified she was after her then boyfriend bit and punched her in February.

The "Disturbia" singer also admitted Brown threatened to kill her, however, she told Sawyer he "was saying it to scare me."

"At that point, I just didn't know what could happen," she said. "He was clearly blacked out. There was no person when I looked at him. It was almost as if he had nothing to lose. He had so much to lose. But it was almost as if he had nothing to lose. It wasn't the same person that says I loved you. It definitely wasn't those eyes."

"It was ugly," she continued. "I fended him off with my feet...but it was not like, it was not like a fight with each other. I just...I really just wanted it to stop."

Brown wishes Rihanna had kept quiet
In response to Rihanna’s revealing interview, Brown said in a statement to MTV News: "While I respect Rihanna's right to discuss the specific events of February 8, I maintain my position that all of the details should remain a private matter between us."

"I do appreciate her support and wish her the best," he continued.

During the MTV News special "Chris Brown: The Interview" on Friday (Nov. 6), Brown took responsibility for what happened on pre-Grammy night.

"I am extremely sorry for what I did, and I accept accountability for my actions," he tells MTV. "At this point, I am taking the proper steps to learn about me and grow from my mistakes. I only hope that others in similar situations can learn from our experience as well. Abuse of any kind is always wrong. The rest I leave it to God."

Brown-Rihanna saga
Brown, who dated Rihanna for a year until the assault in February, was arrested on Feb. 8 in Los Angeles. He was arrested on charges of making criminal threats against his fellow R&B singer Rihanna.

The R&B star was charged with two felony counts- assault with force likely to cause bodily injury, and criminal threats.

He pleaded guilty to felony assault in June, and was sentenced to five years' probation and six months' community labor in August.
