Can a father-daughter relationship get uglier than this? Perhaps not! Actress Lindsay Lohan has lashed out at his father again, this time accusing him of threatening to kill her mother if she left him. Lohan used Twitter to let the world know how she felt about her father.
The actress’ parents, Michael and Dina, have been divorced for more than two years now. Lohan, who chose to side with her mother, said, “She blames herself for staying with him for so long, I'd beg her not to leave because he always threatened to kill her if she did.”
Talking about her bitter relationship with her father, the actress said, “It’s so sad that I even have to share this with everyone, but I haven't had a real relationship with Michael Senior in years. That is the truth.”
Father rubbishes allegations
Her father, Michael, for his part, has refuted all allegations and blamed Lohan’s addiction to drugs for such remarks.
“That’s a lie. I guess Lindsay is on more drugs than I thought to say something like that. No wonder why God is taking her entire career away from her. Because she’s forsaken everything He’s given her and she’s done nothing but misuse all the gifts she’s given,” Michael said.
He also added that he has been trying to convince Lohan to seek medical help for her drug addiction.
Sounds of concerns
Michael even released videos of his conversation with his ex-wife about their daughter’s troubled habits.
In an audiotape recorded in September 2008, Dina can be heard saying, “'You don’t even know what I’d go through trying to get her into, like, rehab and stuff. She'd like, punch me in the face, kick me out of the car.
“Like you don’t know the **** I went through trying to get her an intervention by myself. It was very difficult. I told her not to go to L.A. at 18. She did. I couldn’t leave these other three [Lindsay's siblings] to go get her and it was, like, a mess.”
This isn’t the first time Lohan’s father has released such tapes. In an earlier audio record made public by the actress’ father, she was heard sobbing and saying, “No one cares about me.”
Dragging daddy to court
Lindsay Lohan is contemplating legal action against her father. Her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley said they were looking at civil and criminal charge that can be pressed against her father.
