When Jasinksi and the witness stopped at the strip mall, agents approached them and when they tried to arrest Jasinski he allegedly struggled with agents and tried to dispose off evidence, throwing it under an adjacent parked car
Los Angeles, October 21 -- Big Brother 9’s winner Adam Jasinski is locked in a house again- this time in a big one! The grand prize winner of last year’s CBC reality show has been arrested for attempting to sell over 2000 oxycodone pills to a Drug Enforcement Administration witness.
Jasinski was crowned the winner of CBS's reality TV show “Big Brother” in April, 2008 after spending three months in the Big Brother house, under constant surveillance. He won the $500000 grand prize on the show.
Jasinski uses prize money to purchase narcotics
But no-one could have ever imagined that he would use his $500000 prize money to purchase large amounts of oxycodone pills to re-sell.
Jasinski was arrested Saturday in Massachusetts on an oxycodone distribution charge. The 31-year-old native of Delray Beach, Fla. allegedly told federal authorities that he used his hefty prize money to buy thousands of oxycodone pills and resell them.
According to the Associated Press, Jasinski was arrested at a North Reading strip mall where he allegedly tried to sell an undercover federal agent over 2,000 pills of oxycodone, a powerful painkiller that is a popular street drug because of its euphoric effects.
AP reports that Jasinski was arrested over the weekend after he flew from his home in Florida to Boston and showed the witness a sock containing two plastic bags filled with small blue pills.
Affidavit details
According to an affidavit filed Monday in federal court by a Drug Enforcement Administration agent, Jasinksi and an undercover cop met at Logan International Airport. On the drive to North Reading, Jasinski allegedly removed a sock from his “pelvic area’’ containing two plastic bags full of oxycodone pills.
When Jasinksi and the witness stopped at the strip mall, agents approached them and when they tried to arrest Jasinski he allegedly struggled with agents and tried to dispose off evidence, throwing it under an adjacent parked car.
As per the affidavit: “Jasinski stated that for the past several months he had been obtaining thousands of pills of oxycodone and reselling them to customers all along the East Coast.”
“Jasinski was able to purchase large quantities of pills because he had received $500,000 as the grand prize winner of the CBS reality television show ‘Big Brother Season 9,’” the affidavit said.
