The "Mean Girls" actress’ personal life is frequent tabloid fodder, and this month she made headlines for failing at everything; from her mental balance to her fashion line to her probation terms.
Lohan failed at everything
Recently, reports ran rampant that LiLo is close to having a mental breakdown. A report from Star claimed Lohan "is on the brink of death" because things have just not gone her way, in love, career, family and overall life.
Earlier this month, Lohan launched her new collection as fashion adviser for Emanuel Ungaro fashion house at Paris Fashion Week. But, her new fashion line is receiving abysmal reviews from media and critics.
Women's Wear Daily dubbed LiLo’s new collection "an embarrassment"; The Boston Globe branded it a "hot mess"; and The Washington Post called it a "fashion fail".
Lohan summoned to court
The things are seemingly going from bad to worse for the 23-year-old actress. Lohan could be hauled back to jail amid allegations that she has not been attending her alcohol education program.
The troubled actress has now failed to comply with the terms of her probation for a 2007 driving under the influence (DUI) charge, especially an alcohol education program imposed for that case, reports TMZ.com.
Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel ordered Lohan to appear personally in court Friday to determine whether she violated the terms, the celebrity Web site says.
Jail time likely for LiLo
Lohan could be thrown behind slammer if the court finds that she indeed broke her probation or other orders imposed as part of her sentence.
On August 23, 2007, Lohan pleaded guilty to cocaine use and driving under the influence and was sentenced to 24 hours in prison and 10 days of community service. She was also ordered to pay fines and complete an alcohol education program after pleading no contest to cocaine possession and DUI charges. She was placed on three year probation.
Lohan was originally sentenced to serve four days in jail after pleading guilty to her DUI but was released after serving just over an hour in Lynwood prison.
Instead of a day in jail, she served just 84 minutes in prison.
More on the “Mean Girls” star
Born on July 2, 1986 in the Bronx and grown up in Merrick and Cold Spring Harbor on Long Island in New York, Lohan came into limelight with her breakout role as a leading actress in 2004's “Mean Girls”.
Lohan’s three car accident’s in 2005 made headlines. That year, Lohan collided with a minivan when she made a U-turn as the van, carrying paparazzi, followed her from a Los Angeles restaurant for a photograph.
Later, in October, 2005, Lohan and a passenger received minor injuries when her convertible hit a van in West Hollywood. However, the police ruled that the van's driver, who also received minor injuries, was at fault, by making an illegal U-turn.
Lohan stepped in the entertainment industry very early in life. She started as a child fashion model for magazine ads and television commercials. When she was 10, she began her acting career in a soap opera. However, her career mounted when she played a double role in Disney's 1998 remake of the 'Parent Trap'. She displaced Eva Longoria as the hottest woman on Maxim magazine's Hot 100 list.
