Duggar family welcomes first grandchild

Like his father, the 21-year-old new daddy Joshua also wants a big family.
Josh says: "I would welcome a big family. My parents have been wonderful examples."
California, October 11:Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, the proud parents of 18 children, have become grandparents! Their eldest son Josh and wife Anna welcomed their first child, a baby girl, into the world on Thursday.
The Duggar are a very well known family in the United States which has been featured on a variety of television shows for their 18 children. The family currently stars in TLC's “18 Kids and Counting”.

For Michelle and Jim Bob, who are expecting their 19th child together, Thursday night (Oct. 9) was an especially important milestone- the birth of their very first grandchild.
Joshua Duggar- the oldest of Jim Bob and Michelle's brood of 18- and his wife, Anna, are thrilled to have their first child together and felling proud to give the family their first grandchild.
nna, 21, delivered the baby Mackynzie Renee Duggar in their home with a midwife and mom-in-law helping her with the birth.
"Josh was excited to participate in the birth as well," a family friend told People. "They are both so happy."
The baby was born at 6:39 p.m. on Thursday. She weighed 8 pounds and was 19.5 inches long.
Joshua wants big family
Like his father, the 21-year-old new daddy also wants a big family.
Josh says: "I would welcome a big family. My parents have been wonderful examples."
On their Web page, the couple has stated: "Having both been raised in large families, we have agreed to trust God in the area of children and the size of it."
Mackynzie Duggar's birth will be shown to millions of TV viewers on TLC's “18 Kids and Counting” special "First Grandduggar," airing Tuesday, October 13, at 9 p.m.
TLC reality stars Jim Bob, 44, and Michelle, 42, are expecting their 19th child in the spring. The pair confirmed to People in September that their baby No. 19 is on the way, just eight months after she gave birth to their 18th child, Jordyn-Grace.

Jim Bob Duggar, who has one sibling, and Michelle, who is the youngest of seven, have been married for 25 years and one month. The couple live debt-free in a house along with their army of 18 kids, all of whose names begin with J: Josh is the eldest, followed by Jana and John-David, 19; Jill, 18; Jessa, 16; Jinger, 15; Joseph, 14; Josiah, 13; Joy-Anna, 11; twins Jedidiah and Jeremiah, 10; Jason, 9; James, 8; Justin, 6; Jackson, 5; Johanna, 3; Jennifer, 2, and Jordyn-Grace, 8 months.
