All paperless tickets for both concerts will be honored for the rescheduled dates
Los Angeles, CA, October 2 -- Teen queen Miley Cyrus has postponed her two concert dates due to strep throat, according to Entertainment weekly.
Just two weeks into her world tour, the ‘Hannah Montana’ star has fallen ill. Earlier this week, she came down with strep throat and is still sick.
During her Salt Lake City concert Tuesday night (Sept. 29), Cyrus left the stage for about 15 minutes, reportedly with flu-like symptoms.
New York Daily News reports that the singer/actress was in the middle of her hit song, "7 Minutes", when she turned pale, hunched over and bolted off stage. A moment later, a stage manager came on and told the concertgoers she was not well and would need a few minutes, Daily says.
Cyrus returned about 15 minutes later though and finished the show.
The Disney star had already informed her fans about her sickness. On Tuesday morning, she wrote on her Twitter account that she has been fighting strep throat for several days, according to E! Online.
"Woke up with a sore throat =[ Why am I always sick?" she tweeted on Tuesday. "Strep is the worst thing ever."
Cyrus cancels concerts due to the ailment
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Cyrus has postponed her two concert dates.
EW reports that the singer’s Friday (Oct. 2) show in Omaha has now been moved to Oct. 13, and Saturday (Oct. 3) concert at the Sprint Center in Kansas City to the 17th.
The 16-year-old singing sensation again took to her Twitter page Thursday to tell fans about the postponement of the shows.
In a post she tweeted: “Dear Omaha, I am so sorry I can't perform for you tomorrow. This is the first show I have ever missed. I will see you on Oct. 13th =] “
In later tweets, the pop star writes: "Laying in bed with @mommytish," referring to her mother. "She is my patience, my peace, and my LOVE. She is a miracle worker. Her 'cuddle time' is the best medicine. :)"
"I just put on a 'Snuggie' and ate a popsicle," she tweets.
Tickets will be honored
All paperless tickets for both concerts will be honored for the rescheduled dates.
Omaha ticket holders who can't make the rescheduled date may get a refund through Ticketmaster, said Doug Parrott, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Entertainment and Convention Authority.
