Katy Perry, real name Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, and Gym Class Heroes frontman Travis McCoy have been dating since they first met through her music producer back in 2005 in a recording studio in New York.
After more than two years of dating Perry and McCoy became serious with their relationship right before they embarked into the 2008 Warped Tour. The couple broke up in December 2008 after arguments over Perry's tight tour schedule. They began dating again in April 2009.
Perry to Marry?
Four months after rekindling romance with her on-and-off beau, the 'Hot N Cold' singer has been spotted wearing a sparkler on her left hand finger, giving weight to the rumors that the longtime lovebirds may soon walk down the aisle, according to a report from Contactmusic.
This is not the first time Perry has sent the internet rumor mill into a spin that she is set to marry McCoy. Last year, the couple had also been the subject of similar rumors of an engagement, after the New York Daily News' Gatecrasher came out claiming that the 28-year-old McCoy had popped the question during a summer trip to the French capital, Paris last year.
However, the pair denied they were getting married. "NOT engaged!" Perry wrote on her blog. "But thanks for the free press, New York Daily News!" she continued, adding that "You should fact check with the source before you spread world wide news like that."
The couple has not publicly announced the engagement.
