This isn't the first time intruders have tried breaking into Lohan’s house. In May, suspects were captured on surveillance video but were unsuccessful. Suspects in that incident apparently were frightened off by the alarm
Los Angeles, August 24:Scandal queen Lindsay Lohan's days are never drama-free. The “Mean Girls” star’s Hollywood Hills home has been burglarized over the weekend, for the second time in three months.
According to TMZ, the troubled actress-singer's home was raided early Sunday morning, August 23, by three burglars, while Lohan and her younger sister Ali Lohan were out.
Robbery At Lohan's Home
Lohan found her house burglarized upon returning to home at about 0300 local time. She then called her father, Michael Lohan, who called the LAPD, after which officers headed to the scene.
Michael told the celebrity magazine TMZ he believes the burglary was "an inside job" because the people employed by Lohan failed to turn the alarm on.
"I am not going to put up with individuals violating my family," he said. "Lindsay is a charitable, generous person that always gives. This is a personal violation and it has got to stop."
Publicist Leslie Sloane-Zelnik said that police had been given the security surveillance video from the songtress’ home.
Lohan’s “Upset” after burglary
The 23-year-old actress’ mother also confirmed to People that Lohan’s Hollywood Hills, Calif. home was ransacked.
"It's true," mom Dina Lohan told People.com. "The safe was ripped out of the wall, and the door was off the hinges and door handles removed."
She added, "Bags, shoes and jewelry were taken too. Thank God she wasn't home."
As for her daughter, Dina says "She is okay, but upset."
