Hulk Hogan is a 'free man' now, settles his divorce case

Although the terms of the settlement have not yet been made public, but the former couple had reportedly been squabbling over assets worth around $30 million

Los Angeles, July 29: Retired professional wrestler Hulk Hogan and his wife Linda have finally reached their divorce settlement on Tuesday, according to a People.com report. The two have agreed to the terms of the settlement, the report says.

Terry Bollea, better known by his ring name Hulk Hogan, and Linda split in 2007 after 23 years of marriage. That same year in November, the blonde mom of their kids Brooke and Nick filed for divorce from her wrestling star hubby.

In her petition, 49-year-old Linda alleged Hulk had an affair. In turn, the wrestler accused Linda of drug abuse which her attorney countered called "a complete fabrication."

End of a tumultuous marriage
After months upon months of contentious court dates and bitter feuding, the wrestling superstar and his wife have put an end to their troubled marriage by reaching a divorce settlement on Tuesday morning.

The couple returned to a Clearwater, Florida courtroom Tuesday morning to sign off on their agreement to end their two-decade-plus union. It is reported that Linda and Hulk greeted each other in the courtroom with handshakes and kisses on the cheek.

Hulk said in court yesterday morning that he and his wife have agreed to the terms of the split. The details of the settlement have not yet been released to the public but Hulk insists he's happy with the deal.

Outside the courtroom, the retired wresting icon told reporters, "I'm a free man."

"Hulk is looking forward to moving on with his life and is very hopeful that he and Linda can maintain a friendship and work together as parents to their two children," Hogan's rep told E! News.

Couple show sentiment pro-settlement
"The war is over," Linda Bollea told The Tampa Tribune after the hearing. In a sign of peace, she even gave Hulk a friendly peck on his cheek as he sat next to his girlfriend, Jennifer McDaniel. "I still love him. He's the father of my children," Linda added.

Echoing his ex-wife’s feeling, the Hulkster said: "When you're married to someone for 23 years ... you hope for the best .... We just got torn apart."

Although the terms of the settlement have not yet been made public, but the former couple, who along with their children Brooke and Nick appeared in a television reality series called "Hogan Knows Best," had reportedly been squabbling over assets worth around $30 million.

The divorce is expected to be finalized in the coming weeks.
