The 27-year-old blonde real estate heiress is Vice President of Real Estate Development and Acquisitions at the Trump Organization, while Kushner is the owner of the New York Observer, and also a real estate magnate.
Ivanka twitters about her engagement
Ivanka took to the wildly popular micro blogging Website Twitter to share her engagement news with the world.
“I got engaged last night (July 15) ... truly the happiest day of my life!!!” Ivanka wrote in her post Thursday.
Ivanka and Kushner, the offspring of wealthy real estate families, have been dating for two years. The couple reportedly split briefly early last year, because of Ivanka not being Jewish. In order to marry Kushner, Ivanka must convert to Judaism.
Ivanka Converts for love
Now, several tabloid reports are rampant that Ivanka has converted to Judaism. A report from the New York Daily News claims that the real estate heiress has finished the lengthy tutorial to convert to Judaism, properly. Until that was accomplished, she could not get engaged to her beau.
As the process has been completed successfully, the wedding is on for Donald and Ivana Trump's daughter Ivanka and Kushner, the 28-year-old son of the New Jersey real estate developer Charles Kushner.
“I think it's healthy to have a separation in our interests,” Ivanka tells New York Magazine. “I love being able to talk business with my father [but] I don't know if I'd want to have a difference of opinion come between me and my boyfriend, or me and my husband.”
Overjoyed parents
Meanwhile, Ivanka’s parents Donald Trump and Ivana have expressed their happiness over the engagement of their daughter to the media mogul.
Donald told Us Weekly, “I’m very happy about it. They make a magnificent couple.”
"I am so thrilled about Ivanka's engagement," Ivana Trump told People Friday. "She and Jared have been a serious couple for a long time, and their happiness has grown as their relationship has deepened."
The overjoyed mother added that Kushner is perfect for her businesswoman daughter. "It is wonderful to see, feel and hear my beautiful daughter so very happy and in love," Ivana's mother said.
"I wish this wonderful couple nothing but a long and happy life together filled with joy. They are wonderful young people, and make a fantastic couple," she added.
Just leave them alone
The media can ruin the perfect drink, they can destroy life on the soil of other countries. SO listen it is going ot be very hard for these two in the first place, so lets give them a break. Sure they are past rich, that is ok. they will find that often money and happiness are the hardest things to make balanced. She is lovely and I am sure very intelligent as is he, and I say they are smart enough to have their own problems, SO LET THEM ALONE.

Will she cover her head?
As a married orthodox woman, she will have to wear long skirts, sleeves and cover her hair with either a hat or a wig. Somehow, I don't think she will do this - even for her man. So basically, she converted to make sure her mother-in-law accepts her being married to her boychiklekh. But hey - mazel tov!!!!

Get some sleeves Ivanka!
She supposedly converted Orthodox (the only valid Jewish conversion) since Kushner comes from a modern orthodox home. Sleeveless is decidedly unmodest Ivanka, get rid of the cleavage and put on some sleeves!
