Los Angeles, July 8:Michael Jackson's shocking death on June 25th sent the whole world in gloom and on Tuesday Jackson family, celebrities, fans and friends remembered and paid their respects to the King of Pop.

Several speeches and performances were given by Jackson’s closest friends and fellow pop stars but the most touching was given by Jackson’s 11-year-old daughter.

Paris pays tearful tribute

Paris Michael Katherine bid a tearful farewell to her daddy and delivered an emotional speech at her father's memorial service at the Staples Center.

"Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine -- and I just want to say I love him -- so much."

Paris’ emotional speech moved audience to tears

"It broke me down," said Cynthia Moutin, 43, from Fremont, Calif, according to TIME.com. "When Paris spoke, when she called him 'Daddy' — that was the last straw."

"I've never seen a girl love her daddy as much as Paris loved Michael," longtime Jackson collaborator Kenny Ortega told TIME. "It wasn't planned. She was also his No. 1 fan. And it came through there."

"Nobody was prepared for that. That will be one of the iconic moments from today's service," media historian Ron Simon said of Paris' emotion tribute to her father. According to Reuters, Simon compared Paris’ parting tribute to her father to the salute to slain President John F. Kennedy by his son John during his 1963 funeral.

Paris and her brothers, 12-year-old Prince Michael Jr. and seven-year-old Prince Michael II almost always had worn masks or veils while walking around with their famous dad.

"This kid in an odd sort of way has been liberated," Syracuse University media scholar Robert Thompson told Reuters. "Literally, the veil has been dropped from her, and one gets the sense that this liberation will be a good thing. But then she opens her mouth and reminds us that she's lost her daddy."

"In his beautiful and very human heart MJ wanted nothing more than to give to the world and perhaps be loved back in return," said Jackson family pastor Lucious Smith. "Through his words, his music and his countless good deeds Michael did so much to try to heal our world."

Goodbye, Michael.

We will always miss you and remember you.
