Miley Cyrus hints at rekindled romance with ex love

A local website published a picture Thursday showing Jonas and a woman- believed to be Cyrus-steering the jet ski. It claims the couple hired the jet ski from Tybee Island Jet Ski in Georgia, where she is recording her new film, “The Last Song”.

The picture of the pair spending time together emerges on the heels of reports that Cyrus and Jonas have rekindled their romance following former’s split from Gaston.

After dating for just less than a year, Cyrus and Gaston parted ways over the weekend, according to media reports. In a post on micro blogging website Twitter, the Hannah Montana star wrote: “Tears are words the heart can't express.”

The heartbroken Cyrus has now hinted during an interview with radio station 107.5 The River’s Woody and Jim morning show in Tennessee on Friday that she has "reconnected" with ex-boyfriend, Nick Jonas.

Giving neither denial nor confirmation that she and Jonas have rekindled their relationship, the 16-year-old pop princess simply replied: "He's my best friend, and we still hang out all the time, and we've definitely reconnected."

When asked whether she and Jonas are back together, she said: "We don't know what's going to happen in the future, but right now we're just kicking it and hanging out as much as we can."

Cyrus further explained that they have decided to brush old problems aside to focus on the future. "We both just kind of saw each other and kind of decided this whole thing is kind of stupid," she said.

"We were all over the separation," she added. "I'm really happy to be back in their lives. And our families are super happy we're hanging out again."

When asked about the surfacing photo of her and Jonas jet skiing off the shores of Tybee Island in Georgia, the songtress said: "No comment," simply adding, "I am a jet ski demon!"

Lover’s reunion and earlier split
Rumors of Cyrus and Jonas’ reunion sparked early this week after she reportedly dumped underwear model boyfriend Gaston to get back together with ex love.

Speculation about the former couple’s reunion actually brewed in April of this year after the two were spotted enjoying a lunch date at L.A.’s Village Idiot. Nick Jonas and Cyrus had parted ways in December 2007.

In an interview with Seventeen magazine in its September 2008 issue, Miley had given a reason why they broke up, saying that: "We became boyfriend and girlfriend the day we met. He was on a quest to meet me, and he was like, 'I think you're beautiful and I really like you.' And I was like, 'Oh, my gosh, I like you so much.'

“Nick and I loved each other. We still do, but we were in love with each other. For two years he was basically my 24/7. But it was really hard to keep it from people. We were arguing a lot, and it really wasn't fun."
