We already know that it's just a matter of time before Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) pops up on Android-fueled smartphones and tablets. Just last month, Netflix made its debut on Google's (Nasdaq:GOOG) nascent Google TV. What about consumers snapping up Android wireless handsets? Will they get entertainment on the go, or be doomed to eventually fuse to their Cheetos-stained sofas? |

Is RF Micro Devices Working Hard Enough for You?
Sat, 13/11/2010 - 22:54 by Seth Jayson
Margins matter. The more RF Micro Devices (Nasdaq: RFMD) keeps of each buck it earns in revenue, the more money it has to invest in growth, fund new strategic plans, or (gasp!) distribute to shareholders. Healthy margins often separate pretenders from the best stocks in the market. That's why I check on my holdings' margins at least once a quarter. I'm looking for the absolute numbers, comparisons with sector peers and competitors, and any trend that may tell me how strong RF Micro Devices' competitive position could be. |
Who's Taking NVIDIA Into the Future?
Sat, 13/11/2010 - 12:45 by Anders Bylund
NVIDIA (Nasdaq: NVDA) CEO Jen-Hsun Huang sure knows how to pick his friends. As the graphics chip specialist reported good third-quarter earnings last night, Huang enthused about a plethora of new and upcoming consumer products with NVIDIA inside.Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE: AMD) may have stolen NVIDIA's place inside Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) desktop computers, but the company struck back with a design win in the updated Macbook Air. "We haven't had a chance to try and build really magical computers, so that's great," Huang said. |

WWE Pinned
Sat, 13/11/2010 - 12:28 by Matthew Brown
Times are not good for the Masked Marauder or his cohorts at World Wrestling Entertainment Inc.(NYSE: WWE). The tough economy makes filling those arenas with choreographed mayhem as tricky as pinning Andre the Giant. |
Whoa! What Just Happened to My Stock?
Sat, 13/11/2010 - 12:24 by Rich Duprey
Resist the urge to high-five everyone in the cubicles next to you. Your stock may have just strapped on a rocket pack and taken off for the moon, but smart investors won't celebrate until they know that upward leap was justified. Without a fundamental basis for the bounce, these stocks can quickly make the return trip down. |
