Frontier Oil's territory covers the old frontier of the Rocky Mountains and the Great Plains. The company refines crude oil and markets petroleum products. Frontier's Cheyenne, Wyoming, refinery can handle 52,000 barrels of heavy crude oil per day, and it processes 110,000 barrels of oil per day at its refinery in El Dorado, Kansas. The refineries' products include gasoline, diesel, and asphalt. It also owns a 25,000-barrels-per-day products terminal and blending facility located near Denver. Frontier held a 34.7% stake in a crude oil pipeline in Wyoming and a 50% stake in two crude oil tanks in Guernsey, Wyoming, but sold these assets in 2007.
