Forcing Hilton to complete this sentence and not giving in to any pressuring by the media and fans is the only way to prove that celebrities are not above the law. However as we have seen in the past, this does not always ring true.

Paris Hilton going to jail is all very well as long as she does not get to sell her story on release then it defeats the purpose. She put her life and the lives of other in danger. Submitted by janea (not verified) on Fri, 2007-05-11 21:13. *
I don't think selling her story would defeat the object, not sure what the object is, it'll be such a stark departure to be a real challenge, hope she finds something in it and that's it is a productive experience for her Submitted by Babar (not verified) on Fri, 2007-05-11 12:41. *

I have no interest in discussing Paris Hilton. However, I sincerely hope this is comment #1000, because I want the Toshiba Notebook. George Submitted by Just_passing_by (not verified) on Thu, 2007-05-10 21:04. *

Jail. She ought to tough it out and come back with a respect that no one could ever imagine she posesses. Her life is a waste of time and energy, a little proactive thought on her part would be beneficial. Submitted by Sissy Cockerham (not verified) on Wed, 2007-05-09 21:04. *
I am glad that there are a few judges that have the fortitude and integrity to carry out the lsaw and protect our citizens. Paris Hilton's past has shown that she has no regard for any other life but her own. If she did she would be doing something constructive other than making a name for she andher friends for getting drunk and partying most of the night all of the time. My daughter was killed by a first time offense drunk driver! My four year old grandson was in the back seat and now only remembers seeing his mohter dying at his feet. Yes, Paris should be treated like any other drunk driver. She should thank her God that she did not kill anyone on one of her escapades. And the outrage her own Mother has shown for the court system should be in protecting innocent lives that die each day on the highways by irresponsible individuals such as her own daughter. Yes, Paris Hilton should serve her time and then hopefully she will gain some insight and develop some constructive journey for her life that is so precious that can be taken away in one irresponsible moment. My daughter was a stay at home mother, had only been married seven years and was a hospice worker for her church AIDS group and a truly loving and devoted member of the community and our family and only 27 years old. She was returing home, 3 miles away, from the grocery store on July 30, 1997. Our lives will never be the same. She was my only daughter and the light of my life beautiful not only on the outside but an incredibly beautiful young lady. No, I do no have sympathy for Paris Hilton. I work full time and friends of mine that have also lost a loved one to a drunk driver have developed a new advocacy group in our area to make people aware of this tragedy that kills over 16,000 people a year in our nation. Take your anger and make a difference to keep our loved ones alive and Stop Drunk Driving! Submitted by Anonymous642751 (not verified) on Wed, 2007-05-09 20:58. *

I am a teacher. We as teachers have a hard enough time as it is without throwing in poor role models such as Paris Hilton. This goes for athletes also. Is this one of those sayings? Do as I say, not as I do? What a big baby. It's time to get off of mommy's and daddy's titty and grow up and pay your dues. Submitted by K.e.N (not verified) on Wed, 2007-05-09 20:28. *
WHEN I BREAK THE LAW, I PAY! WHY SHOULDN"T PARIS HILTON PAY WHEN SHE BREAKS THE LAW? She deserve's what she get's. She and all the other rich Hollywood degenrate's think they deserve a free pass because there rich and famous. They thumb there nose at the law, and live that "PARTY GIRL" life. BIG BERTHA'S Waiting Paris enjoy....... Submitted by jerseybob (not verified) on Wed, 2007-05-09 18:44. *
Maybe Ms.Hilton can trade one hotel for a get out jail free card. Come on, do the time for the crime Submitted by rgp (not verified) on Wed, 2007-05-09 19:56. *
What exact benefit to mankind does Paris Hilton provide? Being attractive, rich and too self-obsessed are not qualities that world is lacking from other sources, for one, so let's probe this a little deeper. Submitted by Chelie (not verified) on Wed, 2007-05-09 18:39. *
We are all forgetting the fact that she was speeding and driving without her lights on. Let's forget the driving without a suspended license for a moment. Let's say she struck someone you love because she was speeding and could not see properly because she had her lights off. You would want some kind of justice, right? She needs to be held responsible. Actors are always getting away with stuff like Brittney Spears last week speeding and being let go with a warning. Someone has to be the first example. If it were a plain joe like one of us, we would get this treatment so why shouldn't she? Submitted by Anonymous846 (not verified) on Wed, 2007-05-09 18:18. *
She just goes to show that even the rich can be called "white trash". She is supposedly intelligent but didn't know her driving privileges were suspended. OMG, she knew, she just thinks she is above the law and doesn't have to follow the same rules the "common" people have to do. 45 days in jail isn't enough for her arrogance. If the Calif. Gov. intercedes in this matter then it only proves her thought-the rich are above the law. Martha Stewart went to jail and she didn't endanger others. Grow up Paris. Post new comment |
