Britney's father calls Sam Lutfi a "Predator"

New York, February 24: A Los Angeles judge on Monday has extended a temporary restraining order against Britney Spears' former manager Osama 'Sam' Lutfi and her ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib, barring them from having any contact with the 27-year-old pop star.

According to the Associated Press, Judge Aviva K. Bobb extended the order until Wednesday evening to give the jury more time to review the facts of the case.

Britney, Lutfi and Ghalib did not appear in court Monday, Feb. 23.

Britney's father Jamie Spears testified yesterday for nearly 90 minutes about why he is seeking a long-term restraining order against three people, Lutfi, Ghalib and attorney Jon Eardley.

Despite winning a tentative court order a year ago, Jamie and his attorneys are seeking a more comprehensive restraining order against the trio.

Jamie claims that the aforementioned three people have engaged in a long-running campaign of sabotage against his singer daughter following a court-ordered conservatorship of her estate. Approved in 2008, the conservatorship had granted Jamie control over his daughter's personal and financial affairs.

In his Monday testimony, Jamie said "When [Lutfi] was in so-called control, she'd lost everything – her kids and career."

He continued: "I believe he's a predator, I believe he's very dangerous to her ... and causes her a lot of anguish and disbelief. We've asked him to go away before, and now he's coming back. We just want the man to go away. Just leave us alone."

Jamie also testified about a string of threatening text messages his daughter received last month from someone with the screen name "citygalin310," whom he believes to be Lutfi, who was once a very good friend/right hand man and manager of Britney Spears.
Jamie said he replied to the messages by saying, "What are you looking for? Our family has been through so much."

Just few minutes after receiving those text messages, Jamie said Lutfi called him. "[Sam] began to cry and he basically fell apart on the phone," Jamie said.

Lutfi and Brit’s ex-boyfriend and paparazzo Adnan Ghalib both were associated with the singer during her tumultuous breakdown over a year ago.

Britney’s parents have claimed that the two men were trying to gain control over Brit's business and affairs. It was also alleged by the Spears family that Lutfi had drugged the pop star while serving as her manager to maintain power over her.

However, Lutfi rebuffed all those claims, saying it was he who urged the troubled pop star to reconcile with her parents.

The former self-styled manager of pop sensation Britney has sued the singer and her parents, claiming they defamed him and did not pay his fees.

In the lawsuit, which was filed on Feb. 3 in Los Angeles Superior Court, Lutfi alleged that the Spears family gave false statements about him in order to separate him from his client.

Britney, who had been going through an extremely controversial epoch, currently is on the path of recovery. The pop diva is ready for her upcoming “Circus” tour. She is due to travel to New Orleans on Mar. 3 to kick off a series of concerts to promote her latest album “The Circus”.
