New York, February 14:Actor Kevin Costner and his wife Christine Baumgartner were proud parents once again when Baumgartner gave birth to their second son this week in Los Angeles.
Costner’s publicist Arnold Robinson confirmed the happy news saying Baumgartner, 34, gave birth to a baby boy named Hayes Logan Costner on Thursday night in Los Angeles.
The baby boy, who weighs 8 pounds, 15 ounces, is the second son for the 54-year-old actor and his German model and handbag designer wife Baumgartner.
The two-time Oscar winner Costner and Baumgartner announced her pregnancy in November.
The couple already have a 21-month-old son named Cayden Wyatt Costner, who was born on May 6, 2007 in Los Angeles.
The star of "Dances With Wolves" and "The Untouchables" also has three grown-up children from his previous marriage to childhood sweetheart Cindy Silva. Costner and Cindy started dating in March 1975, and later tied the knot.
The two divorced in 1994 after 16 years of marriage. Together they have three children: Annie (born in 1984), Lily (born in 1986), and Joe (born in 1988).
Following his divorce, Costner briefly involved romantically with Bridget Rooney, with whom he also has a son, Liam (born in 1996).
Before meeting Baumgartner, Costner dated and lived with supermodel Elle MacPherson. He married Baumgartner on Sep. 25, 2004 at his ranch in Aspen, Colorado.
Born on Jan. 18, 1955 in Lynwood, California, Costner is an American actor/producer, and Academy Award-winning director. The star’s first leading role was the 1987 film The Untouchables, in which he starred as federal agent Eliot Ness.
His roles in two baseball-themed films Bull Durham and Field of Dreams, earned him A-list status, which was further solidifies with the epic Dances with Wolves (1990), which was a blockbuster, winning the Best Picture Oscar and the Best Director Oscar for Costner.
