California, February 12: The team behind Inktomi has come up with a fun new website called Diddit, which will serve as a reservoir of memories for its users.

Diddit is a website which will allow users to list virtually anything that they want to remember. The site, which acts as a personal checklist, will also allow users to share the places they have been to, the things they have done and even the things they want to accomplish in the future.

Aside from just being a mere list, users will also be able to incorporate their own stories and experiences with each item on the list. They will also be able to add their rating, which ranges from one to ten for each item. This feature will make the list even more personal.

Users will have individual profiles on the site which they can share with other users. The site will also recommend other users who have done and interested with the same things found in your profile. However, the site does not tell you what common activities you have with those users.

Paul Gauthier, the co-founder of Ludic Labs and creator of Diddit, explained why they came up with the site. He said, "One of the things we're going to be able to do is start harnessing it like Amazon or Netflix. Diddit will be able to say 'what you did, you'll like doing these things.' This will work once we hit a critical mass of data. Our search engine days will help us with that."

There are already sites similar to Diddit such as Yelp and ThisMoment, but there are several features which is unique to it. Aside from the date which users put on their profile, there are also data gathered by Diddit from the web which users can use. There are also free activities which users can do on the site.

Users will definitely enjoy listing the things they have done and things they want to do. Added enjoyment will also come from seeing their list grow.

There are currently 10,000 users and 300,000 activities listed on Diddit. It started out as an invitation-only testing but is now open to the public.
