Los Angeles, January 26: Brangelina indisputably make for the hottest and the most talked about couple of Hollywood. With admiration pouring on the two from all sides, it’s no surprise to hear them talk of each other’s importance.
When Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie hit the red carpet at Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles, the media was all set to fire questions at them. Walking arm-in-arm at the Shrine Auditorium, the couple candidly discussed their lives, relationship, children and stardom.
Gushing over her date, Jolie told E!’s Giuliana Rancic, “We've been doing it together for four years - it's always nice. I don't think I'd want to be doing it alone. It's nice to be doing it with your best friend . . . and have a laugh in the middle of the show.”
The actress added that Brad Pitt is the person she admires the most in the whole world.
Looking gracious as ever in a midnight blue Max Azira dress, Tiffany jewelry, and Christian Louboutin shoes, Angelina said that when it comes to fashion, “I just like to be comfortable.”
Brad Pitt, bowled over by one of the prettiest women in the world, was all praise for Jolie’s beauty.
“It never gets old - I am here to testify,” said the 45-year-old actor, and went on to add that she makes a fantastic mother to their multiethnic brood.
Besides being each other’s company, Pitt and Jolie had individual interest in the ceremony as they were both nominated for the Outstanding Actor and Outstanding Actress awards respectively.
Pitt had fetched the nomination for playing Benjamin Button in the Oscars’ favorite ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,’ while Angelina was nominated for playing the role of Christine Collins in ‘The Changeling’.
Brangelina are the only couple in over four decades to be simultaneously nominated for lead actor Academy Awards in the same year.
Acknowledging all the nice things that happened to them in 2008, Pitt and Jolie were grateful for their respective roles, which won much appreciation, but they were even more grateful for their twins.
"More than anything, we have two healthy babies,” Jolie said. “That's made this the best year."
