After reigning as Hollywood's most powerful and famous actress for years, Angelina Jolie now plans to retire from acting world to pursue real-life role of a mother.
Jolie, who delivered the long-anticipated twins by Cesarean section on July 12, has recently expressed her desire to play the role of a stay-at-home-mom, not in a movie but in real life.
With six kids at home, the Hollywood beauty queen and humanitarian said she is planning to quit her acting career to stay home with her children.
"I don't plan to keep acting very long, I'm ready to do a few things now and fade away and get ready to be a grandma one day," the 33-year-old actress told the British broadcaster in an interview posted on the BBC website on Thursday. "I have a lot of children. I have a big responsibility to make sure that they're growing right and that they have got us there for them."
The Academy Award winning actress and her 44-year-old boyfriend Pitt, known in the media as "Brangelina", have a total of six children, 3 adopted and three biological children.
The Jolie-Pitt brood include a son Maddox, 7, whom Jolie adopted in neighboring Cambodia in 2002, a 3 years old daughter Zahara, whom she adopted in year 2006 from Ethiopia, Pax, 4, from Vietnam, a 2-year-old biological daughter, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt and the newly born twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline.
However, Jolie stated that she would make no pledge to completely stop acting. "So maybe it will be once a year and then maybe it will be once every three years, and then just naturally -- I like being home a lot these days," she told the BBC.
Jolie said she is not at all worried about becoming superseded. "I'm not so worried that I want to keep this pace up and try to be something and be a celebrity and be a successful actress forever," she tells the BBC. "It's great, but everything comes in seasons. I hopefully I won't be needing to do that later in my life."
The actress, who is currently starring in Changeling, will have to finish up many projects she is still working on, including Tomb Raider III, Sin City 2, and others.
In the Changeling movie, a 1920s-set thriller from Oscar winning director Clint Eastwood, Jolie stars as a grief stricken mother whose 9-year-old son is kidnapped in 1928 Los Angeles.
