American Idol winner, Taylor Hicks, makes a debut as “Teen Angel” in the revival of popular musical show “Grease”. Hicks, 31, nicknamed Soul Patrol, has no formal training in singing but had successfully marked his name in the world of fame in 2006. The Alabama native's album "Do I Make You Proud" knocked No.1 position on the ratings of Billboard Hot 100 chart and got a gold certification after he won the American Idol. Hicks hit the No. 2 position on the Billboard 200 charts for his album "Taylor Hicks" and got platinum ratings. “Grease” is Hicks' all time favorite musical shows which makes him proud and all the more excited to be a part of. He has been spreading the word that he had a fabulous time performing on Broadway this summer. Hicks gets to play only for one song “Beauty school dropout” which is the essence of the character he portrays and carries an inspirational message. People are full of enthusiasm and truly believe that the viewers of the NBC talent competition have made the precise pick by choosing Hicks for the character “Teen Angel”, the role originated by Frankie Avalon.
