Britney Spears is ahead of all turbulence and is now trying to get back on the track. In her latest interview with OK! Magazine, the pop star emerged all suave and composed, unlike her former self who would pounce on the media and be condemned for her erratic behavior.

“I'm healthy, happy and excited about the future,” Spears said.

A long-drawn-out custody battle, psychic evaluation tests, and too much criticism had left her frenzied. After a rather shattered personal life, Britney is seeking to find and fit pieces of the puzzle back together. She recently settled her custody dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline and gained more time with her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

Britney has become more domestic and is enjoying it. Life has become subtle and is more about reading Berenstain Bears books and watching the movie Cars “9 million times” instead of partying all night.

Talking about her early stardom, followed by disastrous slander, Spears said she's not sure if she'd like to see her kids follow in her child-star path. "I'd rather not, but I'd love them unconditionally if they wanted to," she said. "I'd just as soon they have a more normal childhood."

As for her sister getting pregnant at 16, "I was shocked a little bit," she said. "She’s always been the baby, and now the baby was having a baby. It was mind-boggling."

OK! also features Britney’s father, Jamie Spears as saying that the recent turmoil had helped him connect to his daughter again. "God has a way of taking something bad and turning it into something good," Jamie Spears said. "If this hadn’t happened, I would never have been able to get back with my daughter and have this relationship I have with these two little boys."

He revealed that Federline was given full custody of the kids, in order to avoid a full trial. Britney “has the kids Monday, Wednesday and overnight on Friday” and Federline is always there when the kids are at her home.

He hopes the in the next few months, Britney and Federline will be equally sharing the child custody.

By court orders, Britney Spears affairs are under the conservatorship of her father, since February 1 and the senior Spears is looking to end his control towards the end of this year.

After a reconciled personal life, Britney is also trying to get back into action on the professional front. She is working on an album with producers like Harvey Mason Jr. of The Underdogs. "I think it is more urban," she said of her upcoming album. "I’m writing every day, right here at the piano in this living room.”

On September 7, Spears might make an appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards, where she had invited huge denigration last year.

The album, which Britney claims is her “best work ever,” would be out in the next six to nine months.

However, her complete interview will be out much sooner, when OK! Magazine’s latest issue hits the stands on Thursday.
