TV Networks Boycott CK's Perfume Ad Featuring Eva Mendes' Nipple

Actress Eva Mendes recently posed nude for a new Calvin Klein perfume ad, but US airwaves decided to ban the commercial due to its racy content. In the commercial for CK's new perfume, the beautiful actress rolls around topless on a bed and also shows a nipple!!!

The ad for Klein’s fragrance, “Secret Obsession” features a naked Eva Mendes rolling around naked in a sheet saying, “between love and madness lies obsession.” She further whispers seductively: "Love ... madness. It's my secret."

What prompted the TV censors to ban Eva Mendes' Calvin Klein sexy black and white commercial ad is the exposure of model’s body parts that are off limits. Eva, who also currently appears in seductive ads for Calvin Klein underwear, exposed her nipple in the 30-second TV spot for Secret Obsession.

Most domestic television stations now have refused to air the spot, branding the new commercial as too racy for television in the United States.

Responding to the TV censors’ decision to ban the commercial, Tom Murry, president and chief operating officer of Calvin Klein Inc. said in a statement: “This development is not entirely a surprise for the U.S. market.”

“We believe the commercial is exceptional and hits the mark for Secret Obsession. We will reach our consumers in the U.S. primarily through the Web site, the print campaign and at point of sale. We are anticipating a very successful global launch,” he added.

Calvin Klein will have to re-cut its Secret Obsession scent commercial scene that features the Latina actress in nude tossing about on bed with just a thin blanket draped over her hips and where her nipple was seen at one point.

An edited version of the fragrance ad will run in the cable channels in the United States, while the original will run throughout the rest of the globe.

Seemingly unaffected with the ban Calvin Klein has posted the ad on their Web site with the title, "banned TV commercial."

Eva Mendes, born March 5, 1974, began acting in the late 1990s, and became known after a series of roles in several major Hollywood films, including 2 Fast 2 Furious and Hitch. She worked her way up through commercials to music videos to guest roles in television soap operas and supporting film roles.

Besides CK, Mendes is a spokesmodel for Revlon. The actress has been in a long-term relationship with film director George Gargurevich. Mendes has also worked in interior design and has written children's books.
