Actress Nikki Blonsky Arrested After Fight With Top Model

Nikki Blonsky, an American actress and singer, and her dad Carl, have been arrested for getting into an airport brawl with “Americas Next Top Model” Cycle 9 contestant Bianca Golden. The fight reportedly was over saving seats in the lounge- Blonsky was saving five seats in the lounge for her family, and Golden’s family wanted to sit.

The 19-year-old "Hairspray" movie star Blonsky and her father were arrested on assault charges Friday following a brawl involving the family of ANTM contestant Golden in the Providenciales International Airport in Turks and Caicos.

The fistfight broke out on Wednesday between 12:30 and 1:00 PM between the Blonsky family and Golden. The altercation took place in the airport departure lounge when the 5-foot-11 catwalk diva Golden tried to take one of the five seats already occupied by the Blonskys, who were vacationing in the Caribbean islands.

"Things got out of hand in an argument over seats in the departure lounge, and several people were involved in an altercation," People.com quoted Sgt. Calvin Chase as saying. "There were some injuries involved."

According to a TMZ report, father Carl Blonsky allegedly beat up ANTM contestent’s mother, Elaine Golden, who had to be airlifted to a Miami hospital. Nikki was also injured and was sporting a neck brace Friday.

Nikki was charged with actual bodily harm, while her father was charged with grievous bodily harm, a charge that carries a five-year maximum sentence. Golden was busted too, and like Nikki was charged with actual bodily harm.

Blonsky and Golden were released on $6,000 bail apiece, while Carl Blonsky remains in custody until August 8.

The 19-year-old model, who almost made it to last year's "ANTM" finale, was released on her own accord with the promise of returning for a court date on September 17.

Blonsky, who played Tracy Turnblad in the 2007 movie version of the hit Broadway musical, is due back in court December 1.
