Some reports that surfaced Saturday all over the Internet confirmed the Brangelina twins’ birth, while the others abruptly declared those reports untrue.
All the reports that confirmed the birth of twins even contradicted one another. While the Nice-Matin newspaper reported Jolie has given birth to twins, a girl and a boy, In Touch Weekly reported that the actress gave birth to twin girls.
In Touch quoted sources at the La Fondation Lenval hospital in Nice, France, as saying that the 33-year-old beauty delivered her twin daughters on Saturday at 6pm French time, and partner Brad Pitt was present during the birth.
The sources also said that the first baby was born at 6:45 pm and the other at 7pm via caesarean section at Nice, France’s La Fondation Lenval hospital.
Nice-Matin quoted Jolie’s gynecologist Michel Sussmann as saying that Brangelina twins are healthy and named Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline.
US Magazine quoted a source inside the hospital as saying that the twins are in good health and are expected to leave the hospital within 48 hours.
Despite rumors circling around the internet, OK! has abruptly rebuffed all reports claiming Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have not yet become the proud parents of the world’s most famous twins. "It is wrong information," the outlet quoted a rep for Lenval Hospital in Nice, France, as saying. When the actress delivers her long-anticipated twins, the news will be posted on the hospital's site, Bauer added.
Early this month, Doctor Michel Sussmann, who also delivered Shiloh in Namibia, confirmed that Jolie’s twins will see the daylight for the first time in the coming weeks.
The Academy Award winning actress along with her 44-year-old boyfriend Pitt checked into the hospital at the end of June via helicopter, and is staying in a pre-booked suite of four rooms situated at the fifth floor of the facility and overlooking the Bay of Angels and Mediterranean Sea.
Jolie, a former fashion model, and a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency, has four other children, a son Maddox, 6, whom she adopted in neighboring Cambodia in 2002, a 3 years old daughter Zahara, whom she adopted in year 2006 from Ethiopia, Pax, 4, from Vietnam, and a 21-month-old biological daughter, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, with Brad Pitt, an Academy Award-nominated American actor. The twins will be couple’s fifth and sixth children.
