Good news for gizmo freaks! The much awaited newer, better and cheaper version of iPhone shoots on sale Friday morning bringing an ecstasy to the iPhone enthusiasts.

But it seems that the new version has failed to astonish the critics who got a chance to lay their hands on the second generation iPhone.

In line with what critics said, the new iPhone does not embody many new features which is contrary to the expectations of the fans and the critics.

The local retailers have a firm belief that the new version will definitely allure the fans to the local stores, who have been breathlessly waiting for the new improvised version. Surely iPone maniacs would not lend an ear to what critics have articulated about the new technology.

The new 8 GB phone available for $200 or 16 GB for $299 have half the price as compared to the original version

Certainly price factor will contribute a lot to the high sales of the new gadget that works on 3G technology - third-generation cellular network- which fastens the pace of Web browsing.

As of now the 3G web technology is accessible in the Triad and cities like Reidsville, Lexington and Asheboro fall short of this service.

Services like text messaging will be paid; the user will have to pay at least $5 per month for the service.

The new gimmick has games feature which includes driver simulation and likes. The remote control for iTunes will arm the user to manage the music on the phone. There is an application that will allow the user to catch the live videos for $5 to keep a tag on games.

At local stores the new customers will need to sign a two-year service agreement and will have to pay $10 a month and $36 as an activation fee.

And the existing AT&T clientele who covet to upgrade their iPhone with 3G technology will have to pay an $18 upgradation fee.

The iphone fans will, somehow , miss on applications like voice dialing or video recording.

As per AT&T's David Anthony, the new gadget will also prove to be a more business friendly as it has a service of corporate e-mail, just like Blackberry.
