Cook's Team Set To Put "Furious" Brinkley On Hot Seat

After facing the humiliating accusation of being a cyber-pervert, Christie Brinkley’s estranged architect husband Peter Cook is now set to put the supermodel on the hot seat in the second phase of their scandalous divorce trial that focuses on the child custody battle.

On Thursday, Cook's lawyers hit Brinkley with a sweeping blow - insisting the former supermodel “is out for revenge". "By the time this case is over, your honor, you will see that Mrs. Brinkley is out for revenge," Cook's lawyer Norman Sheresky said at the opening of trial. "She is in payback mode, and only your honor can stop it."

Christie Brinkley and her fourth husband Peter Cook, on Wednesday, arrived at court in Central Islip, N.Y. to start their divorce trial. In his opening statement in the celebrity divorce trial, Brinkley's lawyer, Robert Stephan Cohen had called Cook a self-obsessed sex addict and charged him of spending thousands of dollars on Internet porn.

Cohen also accused Cook of having extramarital affair with his young assistant, Diana Bianchi, then 18. He claimed that after becoming aware of her hubby affair with, Bianchi, now 21-year-old, Brinkley checked his account on computer and discovered he was spending $3,000 a month on pornographic websites. Cook was also accused of being involved in the most humiliating activities, including masturbation on a web camera and searching the Web for "young fit girls".

However, Sheresky spoke out against Brinkley, claiming the 54-year-old former supermodel was simply out to punish her husband. Brinkley, though, has managed to gain sympathy in the first round of trial by describing how her married life shattered, she should get ready to face more severe charges by Cook’s team, which is set to put up a more ferocious fight.

The couple has a daughter together, Sailor Lee; Cook has also adopted Brinkley’s son, Jack, from her marriage to Richard Taubman. Brinkley has a 22-year-old daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, from her marriage to Billy Joel.

In order to give significant defeat to Brinkley in the custody battle, Cook’s team has prepared a list of evidences, including e-mails from Brinkley, unfavorable reports from a court-appointed psychiatrist and testimony about how Brinkley revengefully kept Cook away from the kids. They will present the evidences tomorrow (Monday) when the kids custody phase opens.

"Our strategy is to wait to get to our side of the story," lawyer Sheresky was quoted by media reports as saying. "He's a great, great father. She is an angry, angry, angry, furious woman. I think it's pretty clear she's doing this out of revenge... during the custody case you're going to find out how angry she was.”

On the other hand, Brinkley's team is planning to hit back Cook hard. Her team would see that Cook shouldn't get shared custody of 13-year-old Jack and 10-year-old Sailor Lee as he has shown bad judgment with the kids. Her lawyers will present the evidence in the court tomorrow, blaming him for buying dangerous motorbikes for the kids, introducing his son to his new girlfriends, and driving 80 mph with his daughter in the car.
