Jessica Alba and her husband Cash Warren were proud parents this weekend when the “Dark Angel” star gave birth to a healthy baby girl at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The 27-year-old actress delivered a baby girl named Honor Marie on June 7, according to her representative, Brad Cafarelli. This is the couple’s first child. In April, Alba had conducted the baby shower for their first child. At the time, the guests came out saying it was going to be a girl.

As of the newly born baby girl, Alba’s father was quoted by some media reports as saying that his granddaughter was beautiful. Her husband Warren, dressed in a T-shirt, jeans and baseball cap, was spotted at the hospital, as well, and he was carrying food into the maternity ward Sunday.

No details have yet available on newly-born baby’s weight, eye color etc or how much money her pictures will earn the newlyweds.

Warren and Alba met on the set of ‘The Fantastic Four’ back in 2004 and had got engaged in December last year. Prior to the engagement, the American actress had announced that she's expecting a baby with her producer boyfriend Cash Warren.

Alba quietly married 31-year-old Warren on May 19 at the Beverly Hills courthouse. The newly married couple just moved into a $4 million Beverly Hills home with their three dogs.

Alba was previously engaged to her ‘Dark Angel’ co-star Michael Weatherly, who is 12-years her senior, but they split back in 2003. Also, sometimes back, there had been rumors of Alba dumping Warren, but the wedding news rubbished them all.

In a response to a query what kind of parent she plans to be, Alba told Fit Pregnancy: "I don't want to be my child's best friend. I want to be a mom," she said. "But I do want my child to come to me when they have problems and need to talk, so it's going to be about treading that line." The actress is covering Fit Pregnancy magazine’s cover for the June/July issue.

In a TV show, called “Extra,” Alba said that she was more afraid of breast- feeding than of the actual process of giving birth.

Born in Pomona, California, on April 28, 1981, Alba was raised in an Air Force family, along with her actor brother, Joshua. She is known for her roles in Honey, Dark Angel, Sin City, Fantastic Four, Into the Blue and Idle Hands.

In 2006, readers of Askmen.com voted Alba No. 1 on 99 Most Desirable Women, while in 2007, Maxim Magazine placed the actress on the number two spot of their Top 100, after Lindsay Lohan. Both GQ and In Style magazines had Alba on their June covers, and in May, after eight million votes, FHM named her the winner as 2007’s Sexiest Woman in the World.

Alba stars in “The Love Guru,” a Mike Meyers comedy which will hit theaters on June 20.
