Google chrome steers ahead

Now Google Chrome stays ahead in global market share.

The recent figures from Stat Counter , a web traffic analysis tool, states that the Google Chrome, one of the most popular web browser has overtaken Microsoft's Internet Explorer(IE) in the global markets around the world in cyber tributary.

In total, IE slipped to 31.94 percent while Google Chrome galloped ahead with 32.76 percent share. Around a year ago, Internet Explorer enjoyed a whopping 40 percent market share.

Compared with this, Google's 66.4 percent of the United States search market in February, according to Com Score, which was up a bit from 66.2 percent in January of this year.

By comparison, Microsoft’s Bing had 15.3% of the market share in February 2012, while at the same time, Yahoo held on at 13.8 percent.

Since Bing and Yahoo work closely together sharing web results, it brings their total combined market share to 29.1 percent, still double digits away from Google's share of search traffic.

Back in March of this year Google's Chrome web browser snick past Internet Explorer for a single day, but this is the first time they have galloped past IE for an entire 7 day period.

On the other hand, NetMarketShare shows that Internet Explorer had 54 percent share this month, while Chrome has 19 percent, and Firefox has 20 percent share in the global market.
