NBA: Dallas 101, Houston 91

Dallas -- Dirk Nowitzki scored 20 points and Caron Butler added 19 Monday, sparking the Dallas Mavericks to the their sixth straight win, 101-91 over Houston.

Jose Juan Barea's 3-pointer with 2 minutes to go in the first half broke a 44-44 tie and ignited a 9-1 Dallas run to close out the half, and the Mavs never looked back.

Shawn Marion scored 14 points and hauled down 10 rebounds, Nowitzki grabbed 10 rebounds and Jason Kidd scored eight points to go with 11 assists, helping boost Dallas to its 10th win in 12 games.

The Rockets, losers of six of eight games, were led by Kevin Martin with 17 points.
